Gala Amoroso has helped companies understand the needs of their consumers and customers for over 25 years. Working at consumer packaged goods companies such as Kraft Foods, McCormick, DelMonte Foods and Clorox, Gala was trained in the classical methods of market research. She has led hundreds of projects to support new product development, advertising, brand loyalty and shopper marketing on categories such as pet nutrition, seafood, canned goods, spices, cleaning products, lunch snacks and soup.
Leading the Customer Insights team for five years at Giant Eagle, a supermarket chain in the mid-west, Gala thrived in this fast pace and very action-oriented environment which pushed her to become agile and creative to gather customer experience insights with smaller budgets and shorter timelines.
Gala decided to honor her passion for deeper richer learning and consumer connections in 2015 when she founded GDA Insights to help companies across the globe.
GDA Insights focuses on learning and activation of said learnings. The focus is simple yet powerful. Gala’s understanding of client-side dynamics and her insatiable quest for deep consumer insights yield the perfect combination to help companies grow. Her strong listening skills allow her to truly understand the needs of both her clients and the consumers she engages with. Her action-oriented mindset help her go from learning to insights and action for her clients.

Gala was born in France (still fluent in French) and moved to the United States at the age of 16. She currently lives in the Pittsburgh area with her husband Bob. When she’s not out working her research magic, Gala loves going for hikes with and exploring possibilities for her next great travel adventure. Gala received her M.S in Market Research from the University of Wisconsin – Madison (Nielsen Center), and her B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston.
